John J. Morozuk


John Morozuk has served as in-house counsel for several companies involved in upstream and midstream operations in the oil and gas industry. His legal background includes work on matters covering oil and natural gas exploration and production, oil and gas gathering, transportation and marketing, natural gas storage, oil and gas leases, land titles, acquisition of pipeline rights of way and other real property rights, pipeline construction contracts, and contracts for the sale of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. He has provided counsel to in-house clients on state and federal regulatory matters, ad valorem and other taxes, pipeline safety regulations, and environmental compliance. He has represented some of his in-house clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings in state and federal courts in Oklahoma and before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

Mr. Morozuk previously served as Senior Attorney – Midstream and Marketing for Chesapeake Energy Corporation, where he was the first attorney hired by the company specifically to provide legal counsel on pipeline matters and oil and gas marketing. His other former positions include Vice President and General Counsel for Enogex Inc., an Oklahoma intrastate pipeline company, and Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel for eCORP, LLC, a developer of underground natural gas storage facilities. Mr. Morozuk also has served as in-house counsel for one other pipeline company and two other exploration and production companies and as an attorney in the Dallas Regional Office of the U.S. Department of Energy.
