David Denton is a successful trial attorney with two decades of experience litigating in state and federal courts, arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and courts of appeals. Since 2011—including five years previously with RMO and nine years as owner of his own firm—Mr. Denton has specialized in real estate litigation, including eminent domain (representing both condemning authorities and landowners), real estate fraud and non-disclosure claims for home buyers, construction defect litigation, closing disputes, broker grievances, commercial lease disputes, and title claims. Highlights of his eminent domain practice include successful jury trial on a transmission line project in West Texas, the preservation of gas pipeline easements in South Texas contested in multiple landowner lawsuits as abandoned, and, on the landowner side, successful special commissioners' hearings against TxDOT leading to favorable resolutions.

Mr. Denton has also built a robust consumer law practice advocating for individuals and small businesses victimized by deceptive business practices, contract breaches, or professional misconduct. Highlights include a federal class action lawsuit for unrepresented judgment debtors against a large Texas bank and its attorneys alleging their improper revival and collection of expired judgments.

Re-joining RMO in 2025, David Denton is expanding the Firm’s eminent domain capabilities in Houston and East Texas. The breadth of Mr. Denton’s expertise also strengthens the Firm’s capacity to defend its eminent domain clients in spin-off litigation such as construction, nuisance, and easement performance claims.

He resides with his family in Katy, maintaining an active practice in the Houston and San Antonio areas.
