John Zuercher focuses his practice on eminent domain, real estate acquisition, inverse condemnation, and related property disputes. He represents pipeline companies, electric utilities, municipalities, transportation entities, and other condemning authorities in all stages of the acquisition and condemnation process. His work includes developing acquisition and litigation strategy, drafting and negotiating easements and other property agreements, handling special commissioners’ proceedings, and litigating contested matters through trial.

Before joining Ross Molina Oliveros, Mr. Zuercher served in the Transportation Division of the Office of the Texas Attorney General, where he represented the State of Texas and the Texas Department of Transportation in condemnation, inverse-condemnation, and other real-property litigation throughout Texas. That experience provides him with a practical understanding of the legal, valuation, and operational issues that arise on public-infrastructure projects and how decisions made during acquisition can shape the resulting litigation.

Mr. Zuercher works closely with right-of-way professionals, engineers, appraisers, and project teams to identify potential disputes early and develop strategies that account for both immediate litigation needs and broader project objectives. An experienced trial and appellate advocate, he has obtained favorable results in both Texas trial courts and courts of appeals.
